This site is a tribute to Jerry, our amazing Dad and wonderful husband to Mum, Claudette, of 55 years. Born in Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary, Ireland in 1942 Dad had a zest for life that was infectious! He was always on the go; doing DIY, playing golf, travelling, tending his garden and vegetable patch and spending lots of time with family and friends. Having just moved house with Mum in readiness for his older years, Dad was looking forward to a good few more years enjoying his hobbies and a few more long-haul trips.

Tragically, at the end of March 2019, having had no warning symptoms, Dad was diagnosed with advanced cancer and sadly passed away just 11 weeks later on 16th June 2019. He spent his last 5 weeks in Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice being looked after by their amazing team of nurses, doctors, healthcare assistants and support workers. The environment helped Dad be as comfortable as he could be in those last weeks and days, and helped us make the most of every last precious day, for which we will always be grateful. 

Dad was a truly amazing father, husband, brother and friend; his memory will always be in our hearts and we will miss him forever.
